Traffic Pattern Reminder - Keep Our Students Safe
Reminder - please follow the traffic pattern around MMS during morning drop off.
From 7:45am - 8:15am daily, MMS is 1-way all around the entire building.
Please do not make K turns or U turns and please follow this traffic pattern. License plates of drivers not following the traffic pattern may be noted and reported.
Additionally, please do not double park on Burnet Street during pickup. This creates an unsafe situation and blocks our buses from entering.
Please help us to keep students, staff and visitors safe on their way into MMS each morning and at dismissal.
Guidelines on Visiting Schools
As a reminder, the school district has policies and measures in place to protect students, families and staff - you can review the guidelines on visiting schools.
What This Means for School Visits
During the school day, the following procedures are in effect at all district schools:
- All visitors must enter and exit through the main entrance.
- Visits are by appointment only, except in verified emergency situations.
- Visitors must present valid photo identification, sign in at the main office, and wear a visitor badge at all times.
- Visitors are not permitted unescorted access and must remain in approved areas or be accompanied by school staff.
- School administrators have the authority to approve, limit, or deny access when necessary to ensure safety.
- Visitors will be buzzed into the building after they have been approved.
Families planning to visit a school are encouraged to call the main office in advance and share the visitor’s name, the student’s name, the reason for the visit, and the expected time of arrival. This helps minimize disruption and supports school safety protocols.
