When adults volunteer, all students benefit! There are many opportunities for parents and community members to get involved!

The following is a list of HSA Event Committees where we would appreciate any and all help. How can you help? There are various contributions that families can make to assist. Volunteering is a great way to contribute to the school and to have a role in our community.

 

Write the Weekly HSA Newsletter (year round)

use Membership Toolkit platform to prepare and send the weekly HSA Newsletter (with input from HSA members) Will Train

 

MMS Social Media (year round)

Help keep our FB sites up to date with events, information and important dates

 

DEI/Advocacy Committee (year round)

Brainstorm, research and bring events, assemblies to MMS. Work with our DEI chair to implement initiatives.

Set up, Serve, Clean up as we welcome our staff back into the building!

 

Post- Back to School Night Staff Coffee - 9/20

Takes place the morning after BTSN. Provides coffee, treats for our MMS Staff

Help to recognize and thank our hard working MMS Custodians

 

Parent Event- Fall

Awkward Middle School Dance. Book Venue, food & drink. Decorate and promote. Fall

 

Walkathon -Fall

Help run the fundraising website platform, advertise and incentivize families, volunteer to cheer on walkers, decorate, provide hydration, etc. Late Sept/October

Book Venue, set up, decorate, check-in, clean-up, etc. Winter/Spring

Happens the morning after School In Action Night (typically in May). Provides Coffee & breakfast items for our staff members

 Plan games, food, planting, organize stations and volunteers, prizes. or Volunteer! Held on a Saturday in May

 

8th Grade Dinner Dance Pop Up Volunteers - May TBD

 Volunteers needed to staff the shop and help students pick outfits, accessories

 

8th Grade Dinner Dance Chaperones and Volunteers - June

 Volunteers needed to decorate, check in, chaperone, check out, clean up, etc.
