Middle School Math Course Selection Recommendations Available - Selections Due May 29
Middle School Math Course Selection Recommendation letters for the 2026–2027 school year are now available for your review. Selections are due May 29th.
To access your child’s report, please log in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal using a web browser. Once logged in, navigate to the left-hand menu and click on the “E-Documents” icon. From there, select “Course Selection 2026–2027 YR.”

MMS Steam Tank
Since the start of the year, our STEAM Tank Team, Engine Zero, has been on a mission to reduce vehicle idling during morning drop-off. Their hard work has already paid off: idling rates have plummeted from 90% to less than 20%.
To build on this momentum, we are partnering with the Township of Maplewood to implement a zero-tolerance anti-idling policy. Vehicle emissions aren't just an environmental issue; they directly impact the health and well-being of our students.
We are asking every MMS family to support our journey toward becoming a Sustainable Jersey School. Please take a moment to commit to a cleaner campus by checking "yes" at the link below:

SOMSD Summer Program Offerings
We are excited to offer a wide range of summer programs this year and hope that many of our students will take advantage of these enriching opportunities.
Once again, we will use Community Pass for summer program registration. Please use this link to begin the registration process: SOMSD Community Pass.
Please take your time to review the program descriptions carefully to find the correct school and program for your child.
Please enroll your child in the grade level they are currently enrolled in for the 2025-2026 school year.
If you have specific questions about a summer program, please contact the point of contact listed in the chart below for the respective program (typically the building principal, unless otherwise noted).
Program Fees and Financial Assistance
Please note that there is a fee for the following programs:

- 21st-Century Career Summer Classes
- Personal Finance
