The CHS Student Council annually hosts "CHS in Action Night" in April. This year, School in Action Night is scheduled for Thursday, April 11th, from 6-9 p.m. 

The mission of "CHS in Action" Night is to present all that Columbia High School has to offer rising ninth graders, families, and the community at large.

Participating clubs will display posters, demos, slideshows, etc., to highlight their club's work and sign-up sheets for incoming students who may be interested in joining their organization in the fall of 2024.

PARA DAY 2024

Paraprofessional Appreciation Day is April 3rd! The (your school PTA or HSA) and SEPAC SOMA love our paras! We are grateful for their hard work, commitment to, and compassion for the children in our district. So, the next time you see a para, be sure to say THANK YOU!

What do Paras do?

Some students require the supplementary support of a paraprofessional, which is written into their Individualized Education Program or Section 504 Plan. In a classroom, you may find a para who supports a few students. There are also paras who work on a one-to-one basis with a student. The reasons vary, including helping a student stay on task; overseeing a student working; collecting data for a behavioral plan; providing support with transitions, both emotionally and physically; understanding and using de-escalation methods; and being a watchful eye to keep students safe. 

Help Support the MMS 8th Grade and enjoy some delicious eats from Trattoria (Maplewood location only) Tuesday, April 2 from 5pm-9pm. A portion of ALL SALES will go to help funding 8th grade field trips.

Course selections are due by May 1 for current middle school students. 

Please complete this form using a caregiver's email, as listed in PowerSchool, for the upcoming Medieval Times and 8th Grade CHS mixer field trips. 

The Medieval Times trip costs $70 cash and is DUE WEDNESDAY, APRIL 3. More details are in the form, as well as information on financial assistance.
