Support the HSA
What does a donation to the MMS HSA fund? It supports our teachers, staff, and students. So far this year, donations have helped to provide the following low or no-cost HSA-sponsored activities...
- Community building events: Ice Cream Socials, Movie Nights, 8th Grade Friendsgiving
- Grade-level programming: 6th Grade Minute to Win it, 7th grade Block Party, 8th grade BMX assembly
- Teacher and staff appreciation: Welcome Back-to-School Teacher Luncheon, gifts to custodial staff on National Custodian Day, and the upcoming Holiday Luncheon & Cookies for Teachers and Staff
The HSA also partners with the MMS administration and teachers on student incentive and recognition programs like the Student of the Month Award and Cougar All-Stars.
An $85 donation would go a long way to help your HSA meet this year’s fundraising goals. And if you can give at a lower amount, we appreciate all contributions…big or small!
Now through December 31, every dollar donated to our Annual Appeal fundraising campaign will be matched by an anonymous donor, up to $20,000, through our Community Matching Gift Challenge.
Thank you to everyone who already donated!

November 29, 2022
Dear MMS Community,
Today, Giving Tuesday, is the first day of our Community Matching Gift Challenge! Now through December 31, every dollar donated to our Annual Appeal fundraising campaign will be matched by an anonymous donor, up to $20,000.
In partnership with teachers, staff, parents and caregivers, the HSA promotes the education, safety, and welfare of MMS students and of our community. Your gift will fund enrichment programs, social and educational events, and help provide our students with the support they need to achieve academic success and healthy development.
To meet our goals in the 2022-2023 school year, the HSA must raise $85 per student. Right now, you have a chance to double the impact of your donation. All gifts made through December 31, up to $20,000, will be matched by an anonymous donor.
To donate to the Annual Appeal, please visit our website: Maplewood Middle School HSA - 2022-2023 Annual Appeal. Contributions are tax-deductible and receipts will be issued for your tax records.
Donations by check should be made payable to Maplewood Middle School Home and School Association. Please mail checks to:
Maplewood Middle School HSA (Attn: HSA Treasurer) |
7 Burnet Street |
Maplewood, NJ 07040 |
Every donation, no matter the size, is valuable and appreciated. If you have already donated to the Annual Appeal, we extend our sincerest thanks. Together with your help, the HSA hopes to reach our fundraising goal by December 31!
Sincerely,
Vanessa Llana and Jennifer Melone
